Located between the North and South Downs and just an hour from central London, lies an exceptional venue waiting to be discovered. Overlooking the historic crafting town of Farnham and nestled amongst five acres of iconic grounds, here you will find a passionate team of world-class chefs who will create outstanding modern British cuisine for your wedding day. Wedding Ceremonies Farnham Castle offers 5 unique locations to hold your romantic wedding ceremony. The Lantern Hall dates to Norman times and is perfect for your civil ceremony. A simple and serene setting for up to 150 guests with impressive stone arches, natural wood floor and beautiful lancet windows that allow the natural light to filter through, creating a truly romantic setting for exchanging your vows. The Castle is also home to two beautiful chapels for couples that would like a Church of England marriage service. The Norman Chapel seating 80 guests, offers traditional and simple features with a wooden floor and grand stone arch, whilst The Bishop's Chapel for around 60 guests is perfect for a more intimate ceremony with stunning white walls and architectural design reflecting the rich history of the Castle. Wedding Receptions The Great Hall features a grand fireplace and magnificent gilt framed portraits is a stunning setting for your seated dining and later evening celebrations. Choose from a selection of menus, all created by our expert in-house kitchen team. We would like to sincerely thank you and the entire staff for the wonderful wedding weekend we held at Farnham Castle on 7th March, 2020. The entire event was extremely well organised, the food was wonderful and of course the Castle provided a rich and historical setting for the celebrations. We are still looking back with excitement and fond memories at the many photos and videos share from the day, and our international guests talk about the fantastic time enjoyed by friends and family. Working here as wedding photographers for high end clients in this stunning venue we highly recommend. There are loads of images you can create which we love and the management team are very friendly and helpful which works all round. Honestly can’t rate this venue high enough! The location was perfect for us and the whole day went like clockwork thanks to the amazing staff they have! We looked at about 12 venues and Farnham Castle was our clear favourite from the moment we drove up the driveway. We just got 'that feeling'. We fell in love with the beautiful venue, amazing staff and awesome food. The staff are a massive selling point - every single staff member from front of house, event team, kitchen staff, waiting staff are so friendly, welcoming and can't do enough for you. Worth every penny. I have to say they have got making sure your wedding runs smoothly down to a fine art. Our day was perfect and the staff were a massive part in that. It is such a beautiful venue, a huge plus is the lovely accomodation on site for guests, gatehouse for the girls to get ready and a stunning bridal suite (oh my goodness the shower and bath!). On top of that the food is amazing (those chocolate brownies!). All of our guests raved about every single part of the food from the canapes, to the wedding breakfast to the awesome show stopping evening food. Thank you Farnham Castle. We had already decided on the venue but the team at the Castle were excellent from the start, keeping in contact and catering for all our requirements. They are very professional in every way but made us all feel very special. Every guest commented on the amazing venue and wonderful catering and organsition.We had already decided on the venue but the team at the Castle were excellent from the start, keeping in contact and catering for all our requirements. The food...The food...
The food and drink particularly were outstanding. Not only did the venue have the wow factor the staff were fantastic and put as at ease on the day. The gate house where I got ready in the morning was stunning and the day ran to time becsuse my events manager kept on top of everything. Nothing was too much for them. I would revoke be the smoked bacon scotch egg plus the lamb. Our guests said it was the best wedding food they have ever had!The food and drink particularly were outstanding. Can't rate highly enough, beautiful venue, fantastic food and staff who are not only professional and efficient but friendly and personable. Nothing was too much trouble and they made the whole process from booking to the day as easy as they could. The day was commented on by our guests as the happiest wedding they'd been too.
