At Old Down we understand you only want to share your wedding day with those you love and we therefore give you exclusive use of the Manor for duration of your special day. Enjoy the light, spacious, elegance of the reception rooms and orangery; relax using the indoor pool; soak up the panoramic views from every window; admire the crystal chandeliers as you travel down the sweeping Bath stone staircase and revel in the decadence of a Manor House which you own for the day. Our dedicated chefs deliver the very best in fine dining, specialising in both modern and traditional cuisine. The team of chefs have years of experience, from melt in the mouth canapes, sumptuous wedding breakfasts and delectable evening buffets. We even provide a delicious children's menu because little people should feel special too. Please see our Exquisite Catering pages for full details of all our packages. The staff at Old Down Manor were so helpful as the majority of our communication was via email as we live in Canada. They were very flexible with us and we did our food tasting a year before as that was when we were over to visit. They let us decide on our floor plan and were extremely knowledgeable and helpful and let us know what would and wouldn't work. The food was delicious and they were able to deal with a number of allergies that a few of our guests had. The facilities were outstanding.The staff at Old Down Manor were so helpful as the majority of our communication was via email as we live in Canada. We got married at old down manor on the 3rd September 2016 and the day from start to finish was absolutely perfect. We booked our venue 18 months before the day and the contact we had with Olivia was amazing. She was so helpful with every question we had, and even gave us suggestions for the day. I couldn't have asked for a better venue or a better team for my big day! Would definitely recommend to friends and familyWe got married at old down manor on the 3rd September 2016 and the day from start to finish was absolutely perfect. The food was delicious...The food was delicious...
The food was delicious, the staff decorated the venue beautifully, the staff were friendly on the wedding day, the location and stunning scenery surrounding the venue was outstanding (particularly the rose garden). Given the price of the wedding, the venue should have mended a broken window in the orangery prior to our wedding and the organisation on the day could have been improved (i.e., instructing guests to watch the cutting of the cake/first dance etc.)The food was delicious, the staff decorated the venue beautifully, the staff were friendly on the wedding day, the location and stunning scenery surrounding the venue was outstanding (particularly the rose garden). The team at Old Down Manor were absolutely brilliant right from the start from before booking them to the day. They were brilliant at all my requests and able to accommodate them all. We couldn't be happier that we chose to get married at Old Down Estate. The service was amazing, the food was delicious and our guests were absolutely blown away by the incredible building and views. Everything about Old Down Estate was fantastic from start to finish and it will always be the most special place to us. The staff were so friendly and helpful, we were amazed that they always remembered us by name at their wedding fayres. They also went out of their way to accommodate our menu tasting when we couldn't make the organised events. The venue itself is stunning and always so clean and bright, we were so proud to invite our friends and family there for the most amazing day ever.Everything about Old Down Estate was fantastic from start to finish and it will always be the most special place to us. The staff were so friendly and helpful, we were amazed that they always remembered us by name at their wedding fayres. They also went out of their way to accommodate our menu tasting when we couldn't make the organised events. Wish we could do it all over again!! Wish we could do it all over again!!
Thank you Old Down for the wedding of our dreams!! We couldn't have been happier with how our day went. Special thanks to Joey, our wedding coordinator, for helping us throughout our planning and ensuring that our day ran smoothly. She was an absolute pleasure to work with. Everything on the day was perfect - the food, the slick organisation of guests, as well as the beautiful rooms we were lucky to stay in afterwards. Wish we could do it all over again!! Thank you Old Down for the wedding of our dreams!! We couldn't have been happier with how our day went. We recently got married at old down and wow the manor is amazing with amazing views.We recently got married at old down and wow the manor is amazing with amazing views.
Emma has been nothing but helpful we originally were getting married at another venue but 2 months before wedding the venue suffered water damaged which then we found old down. Emma helped us so much in getting our wedding sorted in the very short space of time which took a massive load of stress off us. When it came to the wedding day she unfortunately had an injury to her hip but still came in to make sure we were all set for our wedding and to introduce Jason who would co-ordinate our wedding day. Jason was amazing so fun and helped our day go so smoothly even giving my future husband a shot of Dutch courage� to settle his nerves. All our guests said how lovely the venue and staff were. Fell in love with Old Down Estate the minute we stepped through the door.Fell in love with Old Down Estate the minute we stepped through the door.
The staircase, the atrium, the chandeliers, the lovely Ian Towers playing our favourite S ong on his piano.... sold! We had the perfect wedding day on 25th May 2018, despite the rain, the sun finally came out. Not only are the venue, grounds and views stunning, but the bridal suite is simply stunning and we had the privilege of getting ready in it. Started the day off perfectly. Highly recommend the preferred suppliers - their preferred for a reason. Becci from Bijoux floral design created a floral vision aswell as an epic staircase. Stunning. Rebecca Faith Photography, beautiful lady inside and out. Understood and captured every moment. Ian Towers, a legend on the piano! Even learned new songs for us, set the scene perfectly. And finally Katie, Jason and the team. Felt in complete safe hands the whole time, nothing was too much trouble. Jason looked after us all day and added lots of personal touches throughout.
