Description

The Keeper and the Dell is a wonderfully secluded, outdoor wedding venue in Norfolk. A beautiful collective of a traditional canvas marquee in a pretty woodland dell, an eighteenth century Gamekeeper's barn, camping gardens, firepit and a little wood cabin ~ making it the most perfectly romantic of places to host a unique Norfolk wedding. Take your Vows in any of our beautiful outdoor spaces, such as the Dell, the Birch Garden or on the Terrace, completing the service either in our Outdoor Ceremony Den or in the Barn. The Keeper and the Dell is nestled below the trees of a woodland estate, in private grounds where you can happily enjoy your celebration with your close friends & family, just the way you always dreamed. Bookings are made with exclusive use over a weekend, for up to 100 guests ~ giving you space and time to make the most of this delightful venue to create your own wedding in the style you love. Whether it be simply rustic, classic chic, bohemian hip or vintage homemade ~ the possibilities are delightfully endless. Surrounded by a medieval grove, The Keeper and the Dell offers the Bride & Groom and their guests a pretty, romantic venue with the wonderful chance to celebrate & sleep under the stars, all within a beautiful country setting. We help with all your planning, offer on the day coordinating, can introduce you to great local vendors, but we don't tie you to any particular suppliers and better still ~ there's no corkage!

We can highly recommend it, it won’t disappoint!

We had our wedding at The Keeper and the Dell in July 2019. From the moment we first visited the venue, we were both completely hooked and knew we had to get married there. The venue is surrounded by beautiful trees and greenery with wild flowers and twinkling lighting at night. We loved the unusual dell area with the marquee at the base of a grassy stepped type amphitheatre (where our guests sat for the ceremony) and the vintage barn full of quirky odds and ends and colourful decor (which reminded us both of our own house and why we felt so at home there). We also loved that The Keeper and the Dell had lots of variety in the setting with different areas to enjoy so you weren’t just confined to one marquee/hall for the day. We just immediately felt relaxed and comfortable there. Lolly and Gemma who helped coordinate our wedding from start to finish were so helpful and organised, sending detailed emails and keeping us fully in the loop. As well as making suggestions for vendors and helping with everything from timings to drink suggestions. As well as our initial visit (it looked just like the pictures but better!) we had two additional site visits which were really helpful but all the information discussed was always forwarded to us in a comprehensive email and Lolly was always on hand to answer any questions (and we had a few!) so they mostly just gave us more opportunities to enjoy the venue. However, if site visits aren’t possible right now I imagine it would just make it even more exciting turning up there on the day! We loved the flexibility The Keeper and the Dell provided (bringing our own drinks, adding our own decor and choosing our own music) but because it is such a beautiful place with so much character and charm we really didn’t have to do much (which was great as we had a 7month old at the time!) and you could easily just add some colourful flowers, hire some of the lovely extras the venue offer and it would look great. All our guests commented on what a lovely setting it was and how helpful all the staff on the day were. If you have seen photos of The Keeper and the Dell and are thinking of getting married there, we can highly recommend it, it won’t disappoint! We are just sad we can’t do it all over again! Just Imagine getting married at a wonderful venue!

We simply can not recommend the Keeper and the Dell highly enough. Just Imagine getting married at a wonderful venue! It is so different to the halls you often see. It offered the most beautiful back drop for our photos, our guests loved it almost as much as we did and visually, no other venue in Norfolk comes close. The Keeper and the dell is just so idyllic. Visually it’s perfect, but it was the attention to detail from Lolly and her amazing staff that really made us feel at ease and left us to simply enjoy our perfect day. A&J

World Class venue with a Family Atmosphere

We attended a celebration and had the best time - the landscaping is so stunning and the people and staff who work here are really lovely. It’s a great place to let your hair down and party and you will be well looked after.

Nothing quite like it!

I photographed a wedding at the Keeper at the start of the Summer. I'd been looking forward to it for a while and it didn't disappoint. It lent itself to the Bride and Groom's extremely laid back plans so incredibly well. There's a magic and atmosphere about the place that makes it easy to forget where you are and just get on with enjoying yourself which, is exactly the way it should be! From a photographers perspective, it's got some great scenery to play with in both candid captures and for portraits. I can not wait to go back again!
