Describe your typical process with a couple.
Once you have got in touch with your details, I can answer any immediate questions you may have via email or phone. Generally we would then arrange a meeting in person if it's convenient to go over the smaller details and to get to know each other a little bit first, and again to answer any questions you may have.
Contracts would then be drawn up and sent over to you, once these are signed and returned and a deposit paid the date is reserved.
We would then ideally meet up again around 4-6 weeks before the wedding day to go over details and timings for the day, I'd also ask you in advance of this meeting to have a list if required of formal group shots you would like.
The balance would then be due 1 calendar month before the wedding day and then we are all set! You can then just relax as I take care of capturing everything from your very special day!
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
With all the madness of the day it will pass you by in a blur so it's important for you both to take a little time out and just be with each other, this is usually the time where we can get some amazing natural photographs that you'll keep coming back to look at for years to come.
And although I'm not a fan of the staged group shots, nowadays it's rare that such a large family unit will come together in one place so it's always good to get everyone in a photo for a lovely memento.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Embrace it! You can't do anything about the weather on your day so not worth worrying about, you may get a bit wet but it's not like you can't get dry later on! Have a large plain umbrella on standby if you think might be needed. Dramatic moody skies can make for some fantastic photographs so every cloud has a silver lining if you'll pardon the pun!
