What is your most memorable wedding?
Ah that's so hard to choose! Every wedding is completely different and each has amazing memorable moments, thats why I love my job!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Creative, Natural, Unobtrusive, Relaxed, Artistic
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't people please. Plan your wedding exactly how you want it and find suppliers who share your vision.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I love when people add personal touches to their wedding day, and the more creative the better! My favourite is probably when a couple used pill boxes filled with sweets as favours, as the groom was a doctor.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Most of the time I'll meet with a couple for a coffee to have a good chin wag about them and their plans. This way both me and the couple get a feel for if we get on and are the right fit for each other. Once the couple book, I try to stay in contact throughout the lead up to their wedding. I love hearing about how the wedding planning is going and use pre-wedding shoots to get to know the couple even more, and help them get rid of nerves before the big day. I'm there if the couple has any questions about wedding planning or need suppliers recommending. After the wedding the couple will receive a few sneak peeks within a day or two. And then it's typically 4-6 weeks until they receive their online gallery and usb.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
I don't think there is a #1 photo. Every couple is different, every wedding is different and their photographs should be a reflection of that.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
I don't really get asked to take specific photos on the day as my couples know that I will capture everything that happens naturally. There's so many unexpected moments at weddings it always fun to capture those!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Don't let rain put you off. You can get beautiful photos in the rain! Normally I'll find my couples some form of shelter and I'm the one who gets wet, so theres nothing to worry about. If you don't want to venture out in the rain, thats fine too! Your venue will often have lovely places inside we can use for photographs.
Describe how you got into photography.
I've always loved art and crafty subjects, but I think I was drawn to photography because you can capture something perfectly. You can capture that moment exactly how it is. I love how photographs capture emotion, so weddings seemed like the perfect place for me. Being surrounded by so much happiness and laughter is the best thing in the world.
