Description

The Old Police Cells are housed in the basement of Brighton Town Hall. The museum was opened in 2005 to commemorate the history of Sussex Police and give an insight into the operations of the Brighton Borough main police station which was based at the site from 1830 to 1967. Exhibitions of police uniform and equipment through the years can be viewed alongside the original cells. The first wedding at the old police cells was held in 2015 and was a runaway success. Fully licensed and with strong ties to the local registrar office, there isn't anything you have to worry about - except for maybe the odd ghost!
