The Barn at Alswick

From start to finish, Kay and Ellie, the main points of contact for organising and planning, were fantastic with helping us achieve our dream day, always making us feel like we were in good hands. We used the brand new yurt village as accommodation for us and some of our guests - all the yurts were so cute and cosy and the bridal yurt (which is more like a mini house with separate rooms, tasteful furniture and an en suite bathroom) was simply stunning. Many of the guests remarked on how comfortable the beds were, saying they had a great night’s sleep! A lovely continental breakfast was provided too. Kay and Ellie were so good with letting us set up for a few hours on the day before and were fine with me coming to the venue on the day a few hours earlier than originally planned, as well as letting my husband-to-be get on with set up in the morning on the day. As an added bonus, the gardens are stunning and such a great setting for photos. We really wouldn’t have changed a thing about our day and are really happy we picked this venue. We were looking for a venue where we could have the flexibility to have kind of wedding that we wanted, which was very informal, and have the place to completely to ourselves. The Barn ticked both boxes! Kay, the Alswick team and their handpicked suppliers made our day the best it could be. Nothing was too much trouble. We were listened to all the way through our planning, being guided at the same time by their extensive event management expertise, whilst still feeling in control of our special day. This made the whole experience stress free and allowed us to really throw ourselves into our day and enjoy it (something that you hear few newlyweds say after the event!). I would really recommend taking a look at the Barn - you will instantly fall in love with the beautiful setting, lovely, professional team and it is truly a blank canvas that you can make your own for a truly memorable day. So many of our guests have complimented us on the best wedding that they've ever attended!

Date of Wedding - 28 Apr 2018 Kay, Matt and their team helped make our wedding the happiest day of our lives! From the initial meeting, they were very flexible and happy to discuss all our ideas. As the day approached, they were incredibly supportive and offered invaluable advice with the planning, schedule and all the other important details. On the day itself, they ensured everything ran smoothly with calm professionalism and precision, so we felt relaxed at all times and able to enjoy our day to the full. he Barn at Alswick is such a special place ?? The venue was great for us as it’s not only gorgeously renovated but also disabled friendly. Ellie was great when we were planning our wedding, always replying to emails quickly and helping our ideas come to life. Ellie, Kay, Claire and the team were superb on the day, so calm and reassuring, we knew we were in safe hands! We loved staying in the glamping pods too - so comfy and the honeymoon suite is stunning ?? So many of our guests said how much they loved the venue and the chilled day. We can’t thank everyone at The Barn enough, we had the most special day! X

We had our wedding at Alswick Barn on 30th March and our day was everything we imagined and more. The team are absolutely incredible, so attentive, professional and friendly. Everything ran like clockwork and all of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and how well the day was run. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day... we just want to do it all over again! A massive thank you to Ellie and the rest of the team at Alswick for the best day of our lives!!

We had our wonderful wedding at The Barn at Alswick on 14th July 18 and it was everything we hoped for. We chose the venue and booked our wedding before the venue was even finished back in 2016, because we could immediately see the potential. The barn was beautiful and a perfect canvas to create the look we wanted for our day, and would seat our 100+ guests. We also wanted to get married outdoors, so the courtyard was the perfect place and a great area for drinks and canapés provided by their recommended caterers, who did a fantastic job, creating us a bespoke menu that suited our tastes. The gardens were absolutely beautiful for our pictures and created the perfect backdrop to our wonderful hot and sunny day. The staff at the barn were amazing at listening to exactly what we wanted and giving suggestions that would help run our day without a hitch. Firstly what a beautiful venue surrounded by stunning gardens. Kerry & Kay were so lovely & helpful and really made our day a lot easier to organise. Having never planned a wedding before I asked a lot of questions and they were always so fast to reply & guide me in the right direction. The fact you can choose your caterer is also another added bonus as we could choose the food we wanted rather than had to have. Can not fault the day (other than the weather) everything was seamless and smooth - what a brilliant team. A HUGE tank you from the bottom of both our hearts.

The Barn at Alswick was the first wedding venue my now husband and I went to view, we went up on an open day and fell in love with the venue. The simplicity and elegance of the place is amazing, we had a tour of the grounds from Ellie and fell more in love with it and knew it was the place we wanted to get married. Kay and her team helped us through every decision and made our wedding smooth and stress free, and they couldn't have done anymore for us. The staff are excellent and so friendly. All our guests were amazed by the venue and we have had so many compliments about it. Can't wait to get our pictures back from our day and be reminded of what a fantastic day we had at the barn.

As soon as I walked into this beautiful venue and explored the stunning gardens, I knew it was the right place for our wedding. It really offers everything all in one location. Ellie was wonderful throughout the planning of the wedding and was always available to answer any questions and offer advice. Thank you so much for making our day so special. We got married on 4th August and could not have been happier with the Barn at Alswick. The whole venue is absolutely stunning - the barn itself is beautiful, the courtyard was perfect for a sunny day, the Snug bar is lovely for people who want some quieter time and the upstairs room for the bridal party is an amazing bonus! We couldn't have wished for a better venue or team supporting our wedding. Kay, Judy and the team were brilliant from our first visit to the barn, all of our planning meetings and on the day itself. They were always so friendly, professional and eager to help us create our vision for the day and everything felt very personal. All of our guests were so relaxed and commented on how much they loved the venue. Thank you again - it meant so much to be able to get married in such a perfect venue so close to our home.
