The Bay Tree Hotel, Burford

Everyone and everything about the bay tree is incredible. They’re so professional that it was seemless and all of our guests have expressed how amazing everything was. The food was out of this world.

My husband and I got married in the Bay Tree Hotel on Saturday 24 September 2016. We cannot recommend the hotel highly enough as a wedding venue - everything was perfect and the day was just so enjoyable and relaxing for both of us as Maureen and her team are incredibly professional and take care of everything as soon as - or often before - you even ask them to. The guests had a fantastic time and we received so many compliments about the venue itself, the food (which was top notch) and the rooms. Even though the venue is used for so many weddings, we really were made to feel very special - the staff could not do enough for us and our guests. I really cannot thank Maureen and her team enough for helping us to have such a fantastic day. If you are thinking about this as a wedding venue then DO IT! You will not be disappointed.

Myself & new wife got married at the Bay tree on November 12th & what an amazing venue!! The bay tree is not your average wedding venue. From the moment we first went to view it we were so impressed with the hotel. We were made to feel at home, welcomed & so special. Maureen, Mark & the whole team were outstanding in every department throughout the planning & the big day itself. Nothing was too much trouble and they made our (many) ideas into reality perfectly - they had everything (from the decorations to the day plan and everything else) so under control our wedding was totally stress free and a lot of fun! The Bay tree is such a beautiful, unique, traditional Cotswold hotel set in the lovely village of Burford. The decor is stunning. The rooms are luxurious, spacious & clean. The food we had for our wedding breakfast was amazing & the service for over 100 people was perfectly executed. All of our guests were blown away by the venue/service/food/drinks.. everything! We can't recommend the bay tree enough for a wedding!

We recently had our wedding at the Bay Tree and I would highly recommend this as a venue to anybody without hesitation. You can really tell that the Bay Tree both enjoy and have very good experience in hosting weddings, as every scenario has either been thought of or they have come across previously. On the day, the staff prepared the rooms with clockwork precision and accommodated last minute changes with a smile and a ‘no problem’ – nothing was too much trouble. Indeed, weddings can be stressful events to organise, but the calm knowing of the staff helped put me at ease – you can really trust everyone to get on with what needs to be done. On several occasions, I didn’t even need to ask for something to be done, it was just anticipated and done before I realised it needed doing. We then stayed on at the hotel for a couple of extra nights, which if possible, I would highly recommend. This is a very old and beautiful hotel and all of the rooms are decorated to a high standard. At this time of year, the many open log fires add a really cosy atmosphere – it makes you never want to leave the seat by the fire. During our extra nights, the staff were still impeccable (it’s not just weddings they’re great at!). Everyone was so friendly and they accommodated all of our requests – we were so sad to leave! Special mentions need to go to Maureen, the Bay Tree wedding coordinator who made everything so easy and really helped our day be the success it was. Also to the General Manager, Mark who made everything look so effortless and whose team were just fantastic – I can’t sing their praises highly enough! This is truly an exceptional venue to host a wedding and also to stay for a break in the Cotswolds. It will always be very dear to us and we can’t wait to return for holidays and anniversaries!
