The Stanwick Hotel

Wonderful Hotel made even more special by the staff, everyone there is helpful and so very friendly. We had our 30th Anniversary celebrations here and it was made so special by Hayley and all the staff. We had the photo booth by Stuart at Orson Events and their own disco with Jem, both were superb, music was great and we’ll be looking at the high quality shots from the booth for many years to come. I couldn’t recommend the Hotel enough, book it if you want to be treated in a very special way.

Well, where do I start. I'm not normally one for giving reviews but on this occasion I have made an exception. When we booked the wedding venue we were shown around by the wedding coordinator who explained to us that if we booked out rooms 1-7 then we got exclusive use of the lounge area, this area is cordoned off with those 7 bedrooms; part of the reason for us booking the Stanwick was this unique feature. We arrived Friday morning for our SPECIAL day and all seemed well, we checked in and my Bride and her bridesmaids made use of the lounge area to have a girly night in with fun and frolics, around 12:30am despite locking the adjoining door and with people in various states of dress a lady opened the door with a key and walked in with 2/3 male guests from the hotel. One of our guests was informed about this and went to reception to investigate who came in and why. He spoke to a lady who was the one who entered the premises (she claimed to be the owner) and our guest proceeded to explain the situation and what the wedding party had been told regarding the lounge, the lady was apologetic and seemed genuinely confused as to why we were not happy at people walking in at 12:30am (the lounge is right outside the bedrooms). The next day we were getting ready in the aforementioned lounge and there were people who were not part of the wedding party walking around, and whilst the Bride was stood in her dress waiting to walk to her bridal car a member of staff walked up to her and asked if anyone wanted to pay for their rooms even though it was previously agreed that it would all be sorted once we arrived back from the church (just what you want) Upon arriving back to the venue again all seemed well and trying not to ruin the experience anymore than it already was we then had to prompt the staff to do some simple tasks that come with hosting a simple dinner party let alone a wedding (I.e. collect dirty plates, bring out the puddings and clear tables of glasses) During the wedding our Bride decided to go back to her room to change into her evening attire unknowns to her there were 12/15 people in the supposedly exclusive lounge, they were watching football, eating food and generally getting drunk. As you can imagine not what you want on the most special day of your life. We went and spoke to the owner (the lady from the night before) who told us that she basically didn't care what the wedding coordinator had told us she makes the decisions on who does what. WOW, it very much seemed to us like we have now had all your money we don't care........ If through this review it allows one other person not to suffer the same fate that we did, then it was worth the time writing it.

The Stanwick Hotel were a superb venue, who were accommodating and could not have done enough for us. They met our every need, and catered for every need of our guests. They offered us an incredibly smooth and organised service, which took all of the stress out of planning our wedding day. On the day, they took care of everything we needed, and made our day even better than we ever could have wished for. We couldn't have asked for more - the perfect venue.

The Staff at the hotel had been great with us from the beginning. Hayley was so thorough when explaining what she could offer us in the wedding package. All of the staff are so friendly and are true professionals. The venue is beautiful, the food was fantastic and the organisation throughout was fantastic. The communication was great and I always felt confident that everything would run smoothly on the way. I think the hotel is a true hidden gem and is a prefect venue for a wedding.

This venue was amazing , the setting is beautiful, the room for the reception was stunning it's large and just natural wood . All the hotel rooms were amazing , all of our family and friends loved staying there the night of the wedding , the staff were all lovely and really helpful and if we needed anything they just help us , this just added to make our day just more amazing,

The team at the stanwick hotel are fantastic. Hayley the wedding planner got me through many a bridezilla moment always with a helping hand and a resolution for any problem that we encountered. She helped dress the boys on the morning of the wedding. Everyone loved how attentive she was. The staff helped organise everything, if you left anything lying around they had it stored for you. What attempting to detail! Everything was laid out perfectly. Simply amazing! Best day organised by the best!

I cannot recommend The Stanwick Hotel highly enough. Throughout the whole process from booking the date to the actual wedding the staff were absolutely outstanding. If I had any questions they were always either on the end of a phone or email and I would always get a response very quickly. They couldn't do enough for us and we felt thoroughly spoilt. We had great response from our guests saying how lovely the venue is and what lovely staff were working there. First class

We had a small wedding but the attention to detail and customer service was amazing; it is clear that no matter the size of the wedding, you are just as valued. From the beginning Hayley accommodated everything we asked for, nothing was too much trouble and everything was organised quickly and to the highest quality. On the day, Lee and his team, along with Bob the toastmaster made sure everything ran smoothly and gave us a day we and our guests will never forget.
