Here at Carringtons we love working with unique venues and you won’t get one more stunning than Hoghton Tower with its fairy tale sweeping drive and 16th century manor house it is the perfect location for the wedding of your dreams. The wedding and event team are friendly and will go out of their way to help make sure weddings and events are the best they can be. The team are knowledgeable but also flexible and will help to make your day unique. Working at Hoghton Tower gives us the opportunity for our Master Chef of Great Britain to create bespoke delicious dishes that incorporate the history of the venue and the local produce that surrounds it with a modern twist.

What can we say about Hoghton Tower...from the moment we arrived on our first viewing we were completely blown away. Not only is the tower breathtakingly beautiful it is completely unique. We have never seen anywhere so spectacular, it is magical when you turn up the drive and see it sitting at the top of this hill. The team at Hoghton couldn’t have done enough for us from the first appointment until after the wedding, so attentive, patient and made us feel so at ease and confident that everything was taken care of. From recommendations, advice and listening to all of my questions (And there were a lot!) they where all nothing short of wonderful. We cannot recommend this magnificent venue enough, you will not be disappointed. Our day was completely perfect in every single way, and ALL of our guests said they had never seen a venue like it. Thank you thank you thank you, from the bottom our hearts.

As a place that enchanted as a child, once we visited with it as our wedding venue in mind - there was no other choice. While the setting speaks for itself - what really sold it to us was the support of the team at Hoghton Tower, from the staff & volunteers - to the de Hoghton family themselves - they cared about the day we wanted to have. No stuffy sit down and set-packages to look over, just personal conversations to get to know us and explain how we could use the Tower to meet our needs. The team allowed us to build some unique features into our day. It was important to us that our guests didn't just see the history, but also understand the history of the place. Richard, our guide with gravitas who we'd met before, agreed to greet our guests in the Banqueting Hall just before the Wedding Breakfast to give our guests a taste of the footsteps they were following, and the walls they sat within. We hosted the 10th of Octoberfest Beer Festival by day - allowing us to use our choice of local breweries for our guests & give glasses as favours, while in the evening the 'One Hit Wonders' live 'Bandeoke' group helped us have an epic party that has lived long in the memory! Hoghton Tower worked practically too. It's a venue you really can let 'do the work' - you don't need to dress this historic building up - our 'theme' was all about keeping it simple. It's also the perfect northern wedding venue - you get the weather and want outside space? Bags of it! Spot of rain? Not a problem, space galore for you and your guests. The use of the Irishman's Tower meant we had a place Caroline could get ready with her bridesmaids before heading to Holy Trinity Church (at the bottom of the 3/4 mile long drive), as well as a place for us to stay overnight - no hotels packed with guests - just peace and quiet to reflect on and incredible weekend. We wanted a venue that stood for what our wedding was to be about, something to stand the test of time, something to return to year after year - even giving something back where we can. We wanted to be able to return to in the years to come, to experience a special place for our county, and now our family. It'll be 5 years in October 2020, and we've returned countless times, this year - for the first time as a family of 4.

Hoghton Tower is one of the most impressive wedding venues in the North of England and we are so lucky that not only is it one of our favourite venues, its also one of our local wedding venues.

I simply love working at Hoghton Tower. It is easily one of my favourite venues to photograph in the North West. The grounds are filled with plenty of gems for portraits and the buildings are packed with character and wonderful pockets of light. The team are always incredibly friendly and extremely welcoming. I'm already looking forward to my next wedding there!

Hoghton Tower wedding photography is the epitome of elegance. This magnificent venue is the perfect choice for brides who want the ‘wow’ factor on their day. The drive way leading the the Tower is so long that it immediately gives the venue that special feel. This is a popular location for portraits of the newlyweds.

Hoghton Tower is a stunning venue and allows me plenty of opportunities to use my artistic touch as one of the country’s most experienced wedding photographers. I have covered many weddings at Hoghton Tower over the years and know the grounds and buildings well.
